The Birthing of a Vision
The power of resilience, the strength of perseverance, of hope. These are tools for the soul to birth the miracle of a vision using the resistance of adversity to create, pushing through, breaking through, away from the present reality, expanding victoriously to draw new boundaries and new frontiers, a new point of destination that will serve as a north star, as a guiding light. This is doable. I dare you to try!
Speak to your soul kindly, lovingly, believing that your Creator, the One who created the Universe, gave your soul the power to live life and live it more abundantly. Does He not deserve a return on His investment, a maximum increase, and a multiplication of His resources? Yes, He does! When the vision comes from Him, He will lead us in the creation process for the birthing of His vision.
So, how is it done? “Step by step, line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little, there are little.” (Isaiah 28:10). And how can the Word of God be applied here? These verses, “Precept upon precept, line upon line” depict steps to create a vision, like pieces of a puzzle that fit together to create an image as they are placed in a fitting position.
It is possible. All things are possible to them that believe. The Lord Jesus said it, as recorded in Mark 9:23, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Therefore, ‘believing’ is the key. And belief does not discriminate. It will attract positive or negative forces, for believing will serve as a magnet that works in the invisible realm.
Distractions weaken our focus, which is the force of creation. We cannot create a vision without focus. We cannot focus without determination. Determination must be tested. Adversity is a powerful testing ground. It will test your determination to create the blueprint for your God-given vision.
Identify your existing resources. Each has a specific value, as a shade in the vision. Become acquainted with each of them and appreciate them as an intricate part of your creation. Practice imagining your vision. Practice, practice, practice until your vision becomes second nature to you. This will simplify your creation process.
Write the vision. Look at it intently, often, until you can see it with your eyes closed. And what does this do? It activates the imagination, a powerful element of creation. Guard your mind. Clear it! It’s an invaluable gift from your Creator. Use it wisely!
Assess the present condition of your imagination. Make this a sober assessment process. Ask yourself: Is my imagination on autopilot right now? What is its default mechanism, positive or negative? Align it! Turn the light on! Shift gears! Decide on its use. Choose good and wholesome thoughts!
If the vision God has given you seems unattainable, clean your imagination. See your imagination as your car windshield. It must remain clean, or the road to your destination will be obstructed with thoughts that block the way.
How do we clear our imagination? By paying attention to our thoughts. Thoughts produce a distinct form of energy, clean and positive or toxic and negative.
Energy, regardless of its nature, creates emotions. Emotions create thoughts. Thoughts create attitudes. Attitudes create actions. Actions create memories that linger in our minds.
Paint the vision as an artist draws a masterpiece on a canvas. Line upon line. Give it color! Take your time. Enjoy the process of creation.
Once you have completed the blueprint for your vision, look at each detail. Identify each resource (pieces of the puzzle, parts of the vision). Visit your vision often for the explicit purpose of engaging your senses and emotions with it.
Turn the vision then into an action plan. Turning the written vision into an action plan requires a sobering assessment of the mind, of the imagination, why? Because without action the vision will remain an inanimate image on a canvas.
At this point in the process, the condition of the mind will show a tangible effect, positive or negative. Negative thoughts must be reviewed. If, upon prayerful reflection, they are found to have no possible use, eliminate them. Period.
Unless negative thoughts are uprooted, they will continue to produce fruit of their kind. Thoughts of fear and shame, for instance, have a root. They are the weeds in the garden of the imagination. Don’t just block them. Uproot them!
If the vision requires interaction with others, drawing it on a canvas would be easy. But when creating the action plan for such a vision, fear of talking to people will suddenly emerge and procrastination would appear, as a fruit of the root of fear. It will distract the mind to subtly impede the process of creating the vision.
And how do we uproot these ‘weeds’ of the mind? Reflection will help to identify them. Confront them. Disown them by refusing to acknowledge or maintain a connection to them. As you uproot these weeds, carefully prepare the soil of your imagination to plant new seeds. The Word of God is an incorruptible Seed. This is truly a life-changing activity.
Celebrate this process. Don’t rush it. Celebrate! Let your mind absorb the fresh nutrients of clean water. Not rushing this process is extremely important. Allowing time for the soul to respond is immensely important. The soul will respond with gratitude and praise to the One who made us in His image to create His visions on this earth.
How will the soul respond? With inner peace! A refreshing inner atmosphere will lubricate the innermost chambers of the mind, lighting up areas of the imagination that had remained in the dark. This process could be named ‘the lubrication of the birth canal’ for your vision to be born. It will take a life of its own and many lives will be blessed for His Glory! The End
